Krissy Moulder

Krissy swung her way into dancing from the gymnastics world where she had competed for six years before becoming a coach herself. Like many gymnasts, she harbored a secret desire to dance, and so it was inevitable that she would fall in love with Lindy Hop when introduced to it in college. East Coast Swing, Balboa, Hustle, Nightclub Two-Step, Country Two-Step, Salsa, Cha-Cha, and her true love – West Coast Swing – also have now found permanent places in her heart. After teaching in both Colorado and Oregon, at Moveir Krissy now teaches beginner-level classes and is available for private lessons in East Coast Swing, Hustle, West Coast Swing, and Nightclub Two-Step.

A professional dance instructor since 2002, Krissy counts several swing-dance productions – on-stage and on local television – among her credits. Over the years, she has traveled across the country attending Lindy Exchanges, and proudly won top place in her very first Jack-and-Jill swing competition. She also continues to provide private gymnastics instructions to children and teenagers. Academically, Krissy holds degrees in Human Development and Family Services and in American Sign Language.

Lead-and-follow technique is at the core of Krissy’s dance instruction, which she thoroughly enjoys providing to adult dancers of all ages. When not on the dance floor or gymnastics mat, she enjoys using her skills as an applied behavioral analysis technician to work with children with Autism. Krissy, along with her husband, is also a surfing enthusiast.
